Velocity Global Resources President and CEO Julian C. Reid oversees all aspects of the company's activities and provides the vision and values which make Velocity Global a unique and forward-thinking information technology company. A self-professed "global citizen" with a passion for traveling anywhere and everywhere in the world, he recognizes the importance of harnessing the opportunities that the global society creates while at the same time addressing the disadvantages that globalization can sometimes confer on individuals and cultures. In 1995, he started Mediawest Online, a successful and profitable Internet company that thrived throughout the boom-and-bust cycle of the Internet bubble. His experience at Mediawest provided a broad foundation of knowledge about the Internet, both technically and culturally. His involvement in every aspect of the company's management provided the perfect environment to develop the fundamental skills necessary to manage and grow an information technology company. Before starting Mediawest, he worked as an architect with various national architecture firms, with a concentration on information technology. Born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.

Simon Islam
VP Operations

After graduating from a computer science degree at the University of Houston, Vice President of Operations Simon Islam developed a profitable computer hardware business building server technology, and worked as a consultant for the university for a number of years before returning to Bangladesh to set up 01ecom Ltd in November 1999 which was later renamed to Iponics Bangladesh Ltd. He has since been actively involved in the development of smart web based systems for Iponics. He also has extensive internet/intranet/extranet application development experience and has web and e-commerce marketing skills developed while taking various products to market in the US, UK and Japan. He is skilled in the management of people, setting up development labs and in recruiting potential human resources.
